Medibook provides full support for international patients who need to apply for a medical tourism visa (C-3-3 or C-4-5) to receive medical services in Korea.
🌍 Countries Requiring a Medical Tourism Visa
The following countries must apply for a medical tourism visa to enter Korea for medical purposes:
China, Philippines, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Mongolia, Thailand, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, India, Myanmar, Nepal, Iran, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Ukraine, Nigeria, Ghana, Egypt, Peru

🛫 Visa-Free Entry & K-ETA Eligibility
Citizens of the following countries can enter Korea without a visa for short-term medical stays and may use the K-ETA system instead:
United States, Canada, Japan, France, Germany, Italy, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and most EU member states
Most can stay up to 90 days
Canadians may stay up to 6 months
Entry still requires valid passport, itinerary, and proof of accommodation

Takes about 3–4 weeks depending on embassy/consulate workload

⚠️ Common Reasons for Visa Rejection
Incomplete or unverified documents
Lack of financial proof
Previous violations of Korean immigration law

🧾 Refunds for Visa-Related Services
If visa issuance fails or is canceled, refunds depend on the stage of the process and hospital policies
Invitation letter issuance fees may be non-refundable after submission

Family members may accompany you, but each must apply for a separate visa
Separate invitation letters and relationship documents are required
🕰 Visa Extensions
If additional treatment is needed while in Korea, Medibook can assist with a stay extension through Korea Immigration
For long-term care visas, updated treatment schedule and documentation are required

📌 1. How to Make a Reservation
Our standard reservation process is as follows:
Select a hospital item on the Medibook platform
Submit your reservation request
Coordinator consultation & hospital confirmation
Invoice issuance & payment
💡 Based on your reservation, we will confirm whether a medical visa is required for your country.
We also offer additional support services:
Assistance with flight booking, ground transportation, and hotel arrangements
Optional tour services and guided sightseeing (→ View Tour Packages)
Deposit amounts vary by hospital and will be shared during the consultation
⏳ 2. Time Required for Confirmation
Hospital Reservation: Typically takes 1–3 business days (excluding weekends and public holidays)
Tour Reservation: Confirmation depends on the number of participants. Once the deposit is paid, the remaining balance will be requested separately.
📅 Please note: Tour prices vary by date depending on airfare and hotel pricing fluctuations.
📦 3. After Reservation & Payment
Once the deposit is paid, we will guide you on final payment and ask for traveler information.
About two weeks before your departure, we will open a group page and chat room on Medibook for communication with your coordinator and fellow travelers.
